Elderly Battle tank (forward view)

I wanted to create a ramshackle vehicle that had seen better days and had been welded together from other broken tanks, the idea being that only the slightly unhinged would drive it into battle, to that end I added an opentop gun turret and drivers seat. I wanted to maintain a slight air of comedy without it being too 'wacky' so I added little touches like the aiming recticule on the end of the barrel.

The tank is based on my own design, but for inspiration I looked at old WW1 tanks, with their heavily rivetted iron hulls, Scorpion tanks, more for lights, grenade launchers and other auxillary details and Challenger2s for the wheels.

For colour scheme I was quite inspired by the Flying Tigers and other WW2 aces who daubed their planes with exotic motifs, so I thought that would be something more interesting than the usually drab camouflage schemes of operational tanks. I also liked the idea painting it with 'invasion stripes'.
